Key Student Policies

Prerequisites: Students do NOT need a college degree. While a high school diploma or GED is ideal, the only fundamental requirement is the ability to read, write, and understand the curriculum.

Student Responsibilities: A computer/laptop with internet access and basic computer skills are required. A personal email address is required. If you change your email address, please notify us immediately so we can keep your contact information up to date. All textbooks are the student's responsibility and are available at many online bookstores. Videos and all manuals in PDF format are included in your tuition.

Refund Policy: Students who withdraw from their program of study within the first 7 days will receive a 90% refund of their total course cost. This refund policy applies to certificate courses or mini-courses (Short-Term Courses).

Students who withdraw from their program of study within the first 15 days will receive a full refund of the tuition paid for their program, less the non-refundable application fee of $250.00. Tuition includes a non-refundable application fee of $250 (this is not additional; it is part of the total cost). If a student is on a monthly payment plan, the $350 is recorded as an initial payment. (This section of the refund policy applies to long-term Diploma programs. This amount may vary by program.)

Contract/Payments: If you have authorized Natural Life Tree Academy to process your credit card, we will continue to do so until full tuition is paid. If credit cards are declined and the student does not respond to update their credit card information, we will mail and email an invoice for the full balance. You are entering into a contract and are responsible for paying the full bill unless you withdraw within 30 days.

Class Credit: Classes from other schools are often allowed, but this is evaluated on an individual basis. Our most common credit is awarded to those who have already completed Anatomy and Physiology. A maximum of 3 classes may be transferred. There are no fees for transferring classes; we are pleased you have chosen to continue your education at our school.

Accreditation and Certification
All of our diploma programs in herbology, aromatherapy, and holistic health are professionally accredited through [The name of your accrediting agency would go here if you already have one, or a provisional note]. Therefore, graduates may seek board certification from relevant organizations such as the American Association of Drugless Practitioners (AADP) or the American Alternative Medical Association (AAMA), among others, that recognize the quality of our programs.

Important Note: We are currently seeking and obtaining approvals from various professional boards and associations to ensure our certifications are recognized. The quality of our programs is designed to qualify our students for certification with many organizations. We will keep you informed of any developments in this regard.

Certificate Classes: Individual certificate classes are not accredited for board certification.

Graduate Section: Students may also want to consider organizations such as the American Association of Natural Wellness Practitioners (AANWP) or the Holistic Professionals of Color Certification and Certification Board (HPOC).

Our Commitment: Training Guardians of Wellness and the Planet

At Natural Life Tree Academy, our vision goes beyond traditional teaching. Our purpose is to empower individuals to master various natural therapies and become "Awakened Survivors": self-sufficient people who live in deep harmony with nature, wildlife, and the planet. We seek to train conscious professionals and agents of change who will use their knowledge to protect our world and co-create a sustainable future where technology and natural wisdom coexist.

Scope of Our Certifications: We offer certifications in a growing range of natural therapy disciplines. Our online programs are designed to provide in-depth and practical knowledge, but it is essential that our students understand the legal framework for their practice.

Our Natural Health Philosophy:

We do not diagnose illnesses. Our approach is holistic: we analyze and evaluate conditions, symptoms, and lifestyle habits to understand the whole person.

We are not doctors or licensed dietitians/nutritionists. We are natural health practitioners, herbalists, and holistic wellness guides.

We do not treat specific illnesses. We are dedicated to teaching how to support the body's innate ability to heal naturally, addressing the root causes and honoring the restorative power of nature.

We do not prescribe medications. Our trust is in the nutrients and inherent properties of plants, whole foods, and herbs, always following the principle of "do no harm."

We maintain the highest standards of professional and personal conduct, always operating within the boundaries of local and state laws.

We encourage collaboration and consultation with other health professionals when necessary, and we are committed to staying up-to-date to provide the most relevant information to our students and clients.

We guide, teach, and empower each individual on their journey toward conscious and self-sufficient wellness.

About Traditional Naturopathy and Herbalism:

Traditional Naturopathy is an art of natural health, a philosophy of life that celebrates connection with nature. It is recognized as a federally common occupation in the U.S. (protected under the 14th and 9th Amendments to the Constitution) and is freely practiced in most states (except South Carolina and Tennessee), as long as it is not diagnosed or treated. It should not be confused with naturopathic medicine, practiced by licensed physicians in some states. For details on state legislation, please visit www.anma.org.

As a herbalist, you are free to practice in the U.S. Currently, there is no specific federal license. However, it is your responsibility to be aware of and comply with state laws that prohibit you from holding yourself out as a physician or violating nutritional licensing laws if you offer nutritional advice. We strongly recommend consulting http://www.nutritionadvocacy.org/laws-state#78 to understand state nutrition regulations and seeking legal advice if necessary to ensure your practice is fully compliant.
